I have cruised Norwegian 6 times and have always enjoyed the cruise with them. I enjoyed this cruise but found they had cut back on the food as it was not too impressive although the grouper in the dining room was better than the prime rib, absolutely delicious. The first night in the buffet they had a marvelous prime rib which turned out better than the prime rib in the dining room on Thursday.

The next day the tragedy of a drowning occurred. I felt the emergency response was not done properly and passengers started the care for the dying child and although the emergency staff did arrive and worked on her for quite a while, I think precious minutes were lost and so was she possibly because of it.

I had no problems and enjoyed the shows, the staff was mostly friendly and helpful. My cabin steward Perfecto lived up to his name. I miss lobster night and the chocolate night was scaled back so far, we found what used to be an event on a cruise where we took and shared pictures of the creations and ice sculptures turned out to be a mid evening dessert. I will still cruise Norwegian but have noticed changes. They should have lobster offered in the dining room at least one night or crab legs. Again I recommend a Norwegian cruise to anyone but watch your kids in the pool.

Cabin IF

the steward saw I was reading an incredible Hulk comic anthology and he made a Hulk out of towels, very thoughtful and impressive. He knew our names the first day and was always asking if we needed anything. cabin was small but well maintained.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

quick easy coming and going on the ship. Got help from porter. quick boarding time. that's all I have to say about it. They could have had some welcome cookies for us there.
