I'm a 61 year old married female that travels quite a bit and have experienced over 30 cruises. This is my first review written of a cruise ship. We do enjoy NCL on most of our cruises.
Arrived in Miami two days prior to enjoy Miami Beach. Hotel chosen was Miami Beach Cadillac Marriott. We've stayed here a couple of years ago and is a good location right on the beach.
We arrived at the ship around 10:30 AM, with a short wait for processing. Was on board by 11:30 with swift embarkation. Very organized and quick. We went straight to customer service desk and signed up for the The Vibe. Wanting some rest, with peace and quite, thank God we signed up as it saved our cruise. We had privacy, relaxing loungers and NO constant, relentless noise from the pool area. The pool area is so noisy you can't even order a drink without screaming out your order. Total Chaos. With four days at sea if you intend to be in the sun, I highly encourage to just pay the price for the Vibe and be done with it. Or fight the crowds for a chair, scream your drink order and take ear plugs to drown the overly loud music .
Nice bathrooms with double sinks, and great shower with jets and rain shower.
Cabin was large and plenty of storage.
Balcony small but was big enough for two to sit.
Spent two days prior to boarding ship on Miami Beach. Stayed at Miami Beach Cadillac Marriott right on Beach. Good location. Taxi to Lincoln Ave. to shop and enjoy people watching, dinner.
Shopped and looked up some friends. Enjoyed lunch. Walked about town, taxi to ship. We been to St. Thomas many times and wanted a relaxing shopping day without rushing.
We had a snorkel excursion booked but both me and husband got ill and couldn't do it. We walked about Nassau and shopped a bit to kill time for the day. Was "ok" but i've been here several times and was disappointed in having to cancel the snorkel due to colds. Snorkel here is very good and one reason to even get of ship is the water.
