We took our 8year old grandson on a cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico because he got straight A's on his report card all year as a second grader. We had been on this same cruise, with another couple in January, therefore we knew what to expect for shore tours just not what to expect from our grandsons perspective. He was so excited and apprehensive as well. He said will I get seasick? Anyway, he didn't get seasick at all. The trip was so smooth you couldn't even tell we were moving in the water. He thought he was big stuff going through the buffet lines and saying what he wanted. He loved the Rock n Roll night Broadway show and when the electric guitar player jumped down into the Audience and handed him his guitar pic and let him strum his guitar for a few chords he thought he was really big stuff. Then we took him to the Hasbro Game Show and he answered a question given to the audience and he got up on stage. He had to shoot a volleyball up high onto a board and of course he couldn't throw it high enough, and he said to the activities director, I suck at volleyball. Ha. Then every evening when we came into our room the guy who made him his towel animal called him by his first name and asked him how his day was, Later we ran into the activities director again, his name is Goose, our grandson told him about his A's and he said I might get A's again and come back. Goose told him get A pluses and come back. At the end of the trip our Grandson told the guy who made him the animal towels I will be back and ask for this same room again and see you. When I asked him what he liked best at the end of the trip he said, quote, Everyone was so nice to me and I liked meeting Goose. He said I think he has a good heart. What more can I say, Customer Service is Everything to a little boy. You better believe he will be trying for A's next year.

Los Angeles

Just went to legoland. Before we got on the ship the day before and stayed in a hotel so traffic not as bad we were driving from Phoenix and came in day early in case we were to have car trouble didn't want to miss the boat

Ensenada

We just took the shuttle to town because we had been to the bud adore hole before and parasailing so with grandson just walked around downtown . There really wasn't much to do for kids in Ensenada. We just wanted our grandson to get a feel for vendor selling and to see how other people lived. He enjoyed seeing all the signs in spanish
