My brother and I went on 2 day cruise this may. It is our first cruise since we where in our teens. The ship is old but clean the staff is very efficient, friendly and polite. The food is good and available from early am till 11 or twelve at night maybe more. There is a small casino, disco, several bars, a small computer room, a game room, 2 small and uninviting pools, and a kids pool which looked better - the pools were clean but had a strange look to them - no one was hanging out in them, two hot tubs (lukewarm), plenty of lounge chairs for everyone . They have entertainment thru out the day and night. This cruise is as casual or dressy as you choose to make it. There are a few places where men must have dress pants and a button shirt and the women could get away with the same. Some people were wearing gowns (out to the dance club?) and around the ship and others in flip flops.

Some tips - our cabin had no air conditioning and we were told for two days that they were going to fix it - it never happened - we kept our door open as long as we could to cool it off - (sitting in my car was a battery operated fan and I thought of it often as the ship had no fans to offer us. We were not offered any apology or compensation for this and it was HOT you have no windows you are in a tin can so I would bring one just in case it was very uncomfortable. If you want to save a few bucks - especially if you have children- bring water bottles and individual crystal light or hawaiiian punch mix. Bottled water is NOT free as they tell you on the phone and the cups are small- for 25-30 dollars each you can buy a drink package for soda and water that comes with a refillable cup. There is water and ice available all day in the buffet along with tea, coffee and iced tea or lemonade and occasionally fruit punch but the cups are small and hard to carry around the ship, I would also recommend a refillable coffee cup. Drinks are expensive without the package so if you can not go a day without a soda then perhaps it is worth it. The bar drink package is 65 dollars plus tax and gratuity for 10 drinks a beer is 6 dollars and a mudslide is 7 dollars so unless you drink expensive drinks it is not worth it and if the drink is over 9.75 you can't use the package... So you only save the 30 percent on specific drinks. I saw people with bottles of liquor and was told that you could buy a bottle but it was 80 plus.

There is soap and shampoo in the cabins but that is it, If you are on a budget you do not want to buy anything on the ship including Tylenol, sea sickness tabs or suntan lotion. When you arrive in the Bahamas you can do nothing without transportation. We went on the snorkeling trip which included a bus ride to a small shopping area and were pleased, after the trip you can stay there or get on the bus back to the ship - we walked around a little and found that there is a beach across the street you can access through the lobby of a hotel and I'm sure there are more if you look but we returned to the ship. Getting off the ship is a nightmare... Be prepared for a 2-3 hour wait to get thru customs -really ? It is shorter if you have a passport or children or are disabled. Valet parking was fast and painless (parking cost 17 dollars a day btw) It was a fun two days but the air and the long wait to get out were a downer.

Cabin Review

Cabin outside window

Cabin was clean and large enough for us, the bathroom was as expected small but manageable. More than enough closet and draw space for two days. Not luxury but nice. The main problem was the ac. It was not working and we were told that they were "working" on it. Called several times and they said they were sending someone - after the first time no one ever came. We kept the door open as long as possible to let in cool air - if you take this trip I would bring an small portable fan because it is almost impossible to sleep when it is that hot. They have no fans to offer you. There also was not apology or compensation for this lack of basic comfort.
