This was our first Cruise ever! We choose a close to home departure port (San Francisco) since we live in the bay area and eliminate extra travel to the departure port.

Overal we are very satisfied with everything. I read many reviews that people complaining about the food mostly. Well, we may be the first time cruisers but avid travelers and I've been over 40 countries in my lifetime. We were not expecting champagne, caviar and lobster everyday and we found the food choices more tan enough and satisfactory for a 10 day cruise cost $999/each in a mini-suite cabin.

Weather was perfect for the first 9 days and a little bit cold and windy on the last day but the cruise was as smooth sailing all the way.

Cabin Review

Cabin AD

Great cabin for a couple. Balcony area was a little worn out but it was acceptable.

Port Reviews

San Francisco

It wasn't the fault of Princess but due to Harbor workers union slowing the works ship departed 4 hrs later than schedule. Harbor workers were making loud and rude remarks while advertising everybody on ship that nobody can do anything about their unacceptable work attitude because they were Union guys... Shame on them for feeling proud of NOT doing their job right... Again, Princess crew was embarassed and apologize on their behalf even though it wasn't their fault.

Cabo San Lucas

This is a tender stop. People went shore was happy with the service of the tenders. The only down side it's a little long tender trip and many times there is another cruise line at this small anchorage which makes the shore a little crowded.

La Paz

Good stop with good shopping options for souvenirs. Great scenery on the way in the Sea of Cortez especially during winter months since you can see a lot of Gray Whales during their migration.

Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is the highlight of any Mexican cruise. Great town with great restaurants, gift shops and entertainment. Plus 99.9% of the time great weather! First week of February the weather was 87F and the sea temperature was 79F... You can't beat that!
