Cabin: Deluxe Balcony

This was our 24th cruise (17th with Princess) and the 3rd on the Royal. We love the larger piazza area and public areas. Having the variety of areas to dance in the evening is a real plus, especially with a choice of music. Princess live (the daily show) is always fun and there is always enough going on in the piazza that there is no reason to be bored.

The Crown Grill is excellent, much better than RC. The service was great in all areas. The crew are quite attentive in every area. The new layout of the buffet area in the Horizon Court has to be the best ever with lots of room to fill your plate and the variety is never ending. The pastry area has something for everyone - you will not be disappointed.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DZ

Great size, slightly larger than standard balcony cabin as it has a loveseat size sleeper sofa making it comfortable to sit and relax. The balcony is not as large as the older ships; however it is comfortable enough for two to enjoy being outside without others around. The value is great as it is comparable in price to the obstructed view cabins on the older ships. Yes, you do look out over the life boats - however it's better than looking at them through the obstructed view window cabins on the older ships. The shower is nice and storage is great.
