Background Information My wife and I were recently on the Norwegian Star to the Mexican Riviera. We departed on December 6 for Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. This was our second cruise ever, our first being one to the Eastern Caribbean with Royal Caribbean. The freestyle aspect of the cruise appealed to us, and we were interested in comparing the two ships and cruiselines.

Travel To Port of Embarkation We flew to LA thinking that we would stay over near LAX, and then took the Prime time shuttle to the dock the next morning. I arranged a shuttle ride from LAX to the port, and our hotel had a free shuttle to and from the airport. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza, which was very comfortable.

Hotel The Crowne Plaza is next to the Los Angelos airport, and there is a shuttle that takes you to the hotel from the airport. Our room was very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. The bed was very comfortable, and we were very happy with the room.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Room 10570 - closet missing hangers, towel service sporadic, definite smell in hall of cigarette smoke, worse smell in room. Perfect for seeing sunsets on the way back to Los Angelos.
