This was my second cruise (first time on Carnival) and my boyfriend's 1st!!

We arrived at the terminal and went through security fairly quickly. We didn't use our passports and were surprised at how fast we got through. We brought our own non-alcoholics and they checked us but we did see people with alcohol that got stopped.

Once aboard the ship we went down to our room to see if it was ready (R129) we could see them still cleaning rooms so we returned about 30 mins later and our bags were outside ready for us. Some people say they put your bags inside for you but we wanted to know who our neighbors were so we went down there so early.

Cabin 4A

We booked last minute... 2.5 weeks ahead of the cruise and the Riviera 129 was one of the very few things available. We were thrilled with it!! There were 3 of us in this cabin (1 had a trundle bed at the foot of the king bed) and we were comfortable. The two girls brought a lot of baggage so that was the only thing that cut down on the room in the cabin. The shower had wonderful pressure. You could hear noise from the toilet next door very seldom. But wasn't often enough to bother us. Only 1 day did we hear other noise (people roaming the hallway) and I'm a very light sleeper.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Took a taxi to a resort on the other side of the island. It was definitely worth it. Afterwards we went to senor frogs (saw many underage kids being carried out because they were so drunk) and then did some shopping before getting back on the boat to beat the rush.
