Carnival Splendor - what can I say. Embarkment. Getting on board about 11:30 11:45.... they boarded us pretty quickly - we had lunch on the Lido Deck while waiting for our cabins to be finished cleaning. Lunch very good. Our cabin was a spa cabin with balcony. We were totally surprised to find such a large capacity cabin, alot of space for suitcases, etc... beautiful view and enough room for the both of us to enjoy lounging outside. Amenities are very nice, Cloud 9 Spa robes, full access to the spa whirlpool and thermal suites, would highly recommend the spa rooms. Our cabin was on the 10th floor and we had a wonderful cabin steward from Croatia. Very friendly, always smiling, turned down our bed at night with chocolates, different towel animals. Did a wonderful job taking care of us.

Food - very good indeed. Always something new every night at dining room. buffet very good also. Did not have one complaint in there. Service in the dining room was fabulous. We had Youman as a waiter, he was always in a good mood. We had early seating. He danced alot for us, always made us laugh and always always gave us good service. Pinnacle Room was good food, we booked that on Tues. night.

Pools - thought they were nice, alittle cool water, not too overcrowded. The only drawback was that chairs were being taken very early morning with towels, with these people coming back to their chairs somewhat after 10 or 11:00 a.m. This part of the cruise was totally uncalled for. People were complaining and constantly holding chairs for way too long a period. These people were very rude.
