Sail Date: May 2015

I just got back from our cruise today. I went with my husband and two kids and 5 other families that we vacation with a few times a year. This was a great vacation for all of us. I love cruising and have been on over 10 cruises. I was a little nervous about this ship because it’s older and it’s been more than 10 years since I sailed with Carnival. Embarkation was fast and easy. We had an inside cabin since it was only a 3 day and it was bigger than I expected. The cabin was updated and had a good size bathroom. Definitely bigger than some of the Royal Caribbean cabins I've stayed in. Room steward was friendly and always available. Food was really good in the dining room. Service was a little slow but the wait staff was attentive. One negative was the head person in charge of the dining room. One of our friends forgot to pack dress pants for the dining room. He tried to kick him out saying that the passengers would complain. It was ridiculous and we asked for an exception. We complained at guest services and even they called for an exception but he would not budge. Luckily, our friend borrowed a pair of pants from another friend and he got in to eat with us.

The 88 Keys show was excellent. We had a lot of fun in the piano bar with Gustavo the “piano man”. He was very entertaining. Loved the 70s and 80s dance party in the night club. Our group had so much fun there.

Kids liked the waterslides, but there is only one pool which is definitely not big enough. It was close to 90 degrees and people were packed in like sardines. They also need to put some umbrellas in the waterslide areas so people have options of sun or some shade. Kids also enjoyed Camp Carnival. They had several fun activities and enjoyed them. They loved the magician as well.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Embarkation and debarkation was fast and effortless. Carnival staff were friendly and kept things moving. Process was very orderly. Terminal was clean and parking was easy as well.

Nassau

Not a big fan of Nassau. It's too busy and there really isn't too much to do. Excursions are too expensive. Its cheaper to get in a taxi and go to the beach. Didn't even get off the ship this time.
