First of all, I want to express my thanks to the captain and crew for what was by and large a great cruising experience. After leaving Miami, our ports of call included the Azores, Portugal, Spain, France and finally landing in Southampton, England. The farther east we traveled, the colder, rainier and rougher the crossing became. Nothing terrible, but some, including my wife, were a little sea sick.

We did enjoy the Aqua class dining, especially the good services of Felix and Marta who took care of our every need, especially providing treats we asked for that were not on the menu. The entertainment was good, but not up to the standard we had been used to; few big stage productions and acts of generally lower than expected quality. The shining exception was our friend Perry Grant, whose move from Michael's club to Celebrity Central was a disappointment to him as well as us. For undisclosed reasons, Perry announced that this was his last Transatlantic crossing and that in the fall he would be moving to Princess Cruises. Celebrity's loss will be the Princess's gain for certain.

Our stateroom, 1579, was adequate and what little room service we required was handled well.
