Thankfully we had cruised before, because this would put you off cruising for ever. The ship is "decorated" with so many different materials, textures, colours (we counted approx.11 in the lifts) that it assaults the eyes. The food was absolutely awful, my wife ordered her food and on 3 nights received MOST of what she ordered. I had the flat iron steak one night couldn't cut it due to gristle. On another night we recieved our starter course only after 80 minutes. Yes EIGHTY minutes. The buffet was like a pack of frenzied piraña fighting for the food, but the burgers were spot on as was the fish and chip shop. The cabin we had was very good plenty of space the balcony adequate for us. The ports of call were fantastic, entertainment was iffy. Also we are encouraged to use the hand sanitizers which are dotted all around unfortunately most were empty. All in all very disappointed won't cruise carnival again. Back to RCI, NCL & THOMPSON they aren't faultless but a heck of a lot better than carnival if liberty is the norm.

Just a final remark made to us by an American couple who have over 10 cruises with carnival they said the standards of food, entertainment and general standard has dropped noticeably over the last year to eighteen months and they doubt they will cruise with them again
