This was our best cruise ever and that's saying something after almost 25 others!! We cruise mostly X and occasionally Royal but the Eclipse tops the list. The service was outstanding in all areas, the food was top notch too. We had the pleasure of dining in the new suite dining room, Luminae, on our cruise, it was Eclipse's first cruise with this new venue and did it ever meet expectations. Our waiter, Danijel, from Croatia, was not only the best waiter we have ever had on a cruise but we also felt like friends at the end. We anticipated eating in Blu a few nights and we did one night but Luminae was so good we just didn't feel the need to dine elsewhere except for one other night in Qsine when 30 of us from the cruise roll call all went together. That was great fun and the only way to do Qsine, in my opinion. It's way too much food for 2 persons only.

The weather was good for most of the trip, albeit not sunny on the crossing but the ocean wasn't rough either so that was a plus. The ship had just come out of drydock and was in great condition and the staff, having had a bit of a break even though they were in guest service training for most of that time, were fresh and ready for the long cruise. This was a great itinerary for a TA with only 4 straight sea days after Bermuda, which was one of the reasons we booked it. We weren't sure if we would like all those sea days in a row, but it was great. There was more than enough entertainment to keep us busy when we wanted and at the same time we had lots of time to relax, sit on our balcony, read, nap and just enjoy the fact that were on a cruise. Michael's Club, a perk for those in higher end suites was better than expected. We were in a CS and the bartender their, Selvy, did a great job making sure whatever beverages we wanted were always available. It was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and the best use of Michael's I've see on the "S" class ships. Embarkation and disembarkation was very easy and quick. I wouldn't hesitate to cruise on Eclipse again, in fact I hope we are able to do so...in the meantime we enjoyed our 1st TA so much that we've booked Reflection for next spring!!!!

Cabin Review

Celebrity Suite

Cabin CS

Wonderful!! There are NO downsides to this stateroom. The suite is roomy, has a separate bedroom, a HUGE balcony which is oversized because the cabin is on the backside of the "hump." The "hump" protected us from wind and rain and made the cabin useable on all but one day of our 16 night adventure. We had two chairs, two lounges, a table big enough for dinner service and a foot stool. Even had a bit of sun occasionally! The butler, Singh, was excellent and took care of everything we requested. The room was clean and in great condition.
