Our cruise encompassed Mexico, Hondurans and Belize. We went on the Sunshine ship. First we endured a long line to get on the boat which was only the first of many lines we had every day on this ship. It had one small pool for over 3,000 people and two small hot tubs. The food was at best fair and at times the only place open to eat was the pizza place with lines galore. The one good show they had was the comedy club. The problem was they packed it in a small room and you had to get there at least an hour early to get a seat. They cancelled the one good excursion to the Mayan tombs at midnight the last port call of Cozumel. The food in the dining room gave new meaning to the word petite filet. Avoid this ship like the plaque.
Very disappointing experience for myself and my sons. My wife said it was not like that on her other Carnival cruise. The layout of this boat was poor as well having to go up and down floors just to get from room to dining. The spa area we never got to use as we were always waiting in lines to try and do anything. The best thing were the ports and getting off the boat. Again avoid going on this boat even if they give you a free room. We paid plenty for a very very poor trip. Will look to other cruise lines that actually provide some relaxing attributes. We need a vacation from this disaster.
Cabin was small and balcony small but acceptable. Door lock and knob had to be fixed as not working at first.
Carnival cancelled at last second Mayan excursion. Cozumel was decent port to visit and we ate at Fat Tuesday which was excellent right at the port. We enjoyed haggling over prices and bought some t shirts and adult beverages. They discouraged tourists from venturing out of port area probably to keep dollars to cruise affiliated areas.
