Took a 7 day cruise on the Alaska inside passage as part of an organised tour. The itinery suited our requirements. The cruise itself lived up to expectations and the ports and excursions we undertook were very good. However we were most disappointed with the food on offer. The quality of the food could not be faulted but the food was served at best warm and normally cold to luke warm. Out of 7 breakfasts the main breakfast meal was cold on 5 occasions, and out of 7 dinners 4 were cold , 1 luke warm and 1 at a reasonable temperature.

The entertainment on board was good, with the culinary shows very well presented. The selections on the daily buffet lunches were limited and the range quite poor. There was no tea making facilities provided in the cabin. We also had to undergo and painful embarkation process due to changes made by US customs. It took over 2 hours to board ship.

Cabin was roomy and had sufficient storage. Shame there were no tea making facilities

Port Reviews

Vancouver

Modern city easy to travel around, very friendly people, as all Canadians are. Stanley Park well worth a visit as is the Modern viewpoint overlooking the City.

Glacier Bay

This was part of the route of the cruise liner it took us into the bay to view the glaciers and wildlife. To further enhance the day Park Rangers were on board to inform us of the developments within Glacier Bay and how they protact the envirenment.
