This was my first cruise alone and I had a great time and would do it again! There was some illness on the ship but I did not get it. The staff worked diligently all the time to make sure that all areas of the ship where disinfected. Unfortunately some people got sick anyway. The food in the lido was great. I craved vegetables and that is the place to go. I made my own chef salads with meat from the sandwich area and then a salad. My room stewards Joni and Muhammad were great. Great AC in the room and plenty of room for me and all my stuff!. This was the first time I have had an interior room. I did miss the window but I was on lower promenade so I could quickly get outside to see the views. I tried room service for breakfast and it was great and the food was hot. Tried the dining room several evening and the food and service was very good.

I somehow managed to pull a muscle in my leg very early on so scheduled a massage. Claire Jones, massage therapist from the spa, was great got most of the pain out and resting with ice for two evenings banished it for the most part. I met a lot of great and friendly people. The staff on board were always very helpful. We could not stop in one port because of ice so got an extra day in Quebec! That was great. Such a beautiful port and you can walk all over. I loved that and Halifax. Would have loved an extra day there also. Great weather. A few sprinkles in Prince Edward Island. It think the only real rainy day was a sea day. I did not try the restaurants or the casino so no comments on that. My favorite of the entertainment was the comedians. They were both great and very funny. I have been on three other cruise lines and a 3 week trip on Holland and like Holland the best.

I spent the night in Ft. Lauderdale at the Hampton Inn prior to trip and took a taxi ($10) to the port. Hotel had shuttles but only until noon and the ship was boarding later due to disinfecting from previous cruise. Took less that 5 minutes to check-in and then we had a comfortable area to sit and wait until we were able to board the ship. I think it was 4:30 when I was finally aboard. Disembarkation went smoothly. The trip was a great experience for me and a great start to my solo traveling.
