Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

The Adventure is a lovely ship. The crew were all very friendly and readily available. The ship was immaculate.

The food in the MDR was excellent as was our service from Lynell and Juan Carlos. Donald, our head waiter, dropped by every evening. Usually we don't meet our head waiter until the "Envelope Eve". Do yourself a favor and never EVER order the strip steak off the classics menu.

Giovanni's Table was a big disappointment to us. We will not be back. Clearly we were blinded by the awesome reviews that we have read.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin 7310 is in the elbow of the aft hump near the elevators. The deck plans make the balcony look larger than it actually is. We liked the convenience of being close to the elevators (no...there was absolutely no noise from the elevators). The library was right outside of the elevators so it was a good place to meet up with our friends.

Our cabin was kept immaculate thanks to Richard our elusive cabin attendant. We rarely saw him as we are not cabin dwellers, but it was clearly evident that he stopped by several times a day.

The furniture/fixtures in the room needs replacing: rust on the legs of the coffee table, stains in almost all of the drawers, keys worn off the safe but safe still worked if you pressed where the key would have been, shower doors didn't close completely but Richard left extra floor mats, and a bathroom faucet that only trickled water (yes, we requested service and were told that there was nothing they could do to help us - husband had to go to deck 5 and shave in the public restroom!). The bed was very very firm...hope you like that (I didn't, but it might be a plus for others).

Like all of the other cabins on the Adventure, the balcony wall is solid metal unlike all of the other ships we have been on. You can't see the water while sitting in the room and if you are short like I am you, you can't see it while sitting on the balcony either. Very disappointing.

Port Reviews

San Juan

I gave this 3 stars only because I am not a fan of San Juan. It is a city that is not visually appealing and the airport is begging to be demolished and rebuilt. The port staff is extremely efficient, taxi's are plentiful. I'm sure there are some beautiful parts of the island, we just have not found them yet having only been to San Juan.
