My friend and I saw this cruise advertised at a great price last minute and decided to leave our husbands at home, due to their work commitments, and have a nice relaxing time and some shopping in Honolulu.

The first night leaving Sydney was very rough and the ship sustained some damage I believe with two cabins on Deck 1 having windows break, but fortunately we were on deck 7 and felt nothing except that at dinner we were laughing and grabbing glasses and plates as they slid about.

By next morning when we woke up the sea was relatively calm and although a lot of the sea days were overcast it was a fairly calm trip. This trip did have a lot of sea days though, and although Carnival tried hard by the last 5 days from Tahiti to Honolulu the entertainment during the day, particularly in the afternoons was not quite working for many people as there was a lot of trivia and not too many other options. There were shows of a varying standard most evenings, and it was particularly good that a well attended Anzac Day Dawn service was held.
