Sail Date: Apr 2015

We boarded the Infinity in Ft. Lauderdale on April 28 for a Panama Canal cruise. One of the first things we noticed as we explored the ship was that the solarium had a strong odor of sewage. This odor was very unpleasant and recurred often throughout the cruise.

The food and service on the ship were mediocre. Our cabin steward didn't seem to get the hint of an empty shampoo tube on the counter or in the trash. We ended up helping ourselves to the shampoos from the cart in the hall. Food was served lukewarm and often overcooked in both the Oceanview Cafe and the Trellis dining room. Things like the eggs benedict station at breakfast and a different feature sandwich each day in the back of the Oceanview were gone. Every day the same thing was offered for breakfast and lunch. Some variety would have been very welcome.

The activities staff was very personable and energetic. They did a nice job with the activities presented. Unfortunately, many of the activities were offered at the same time as other activities so that you had to choose between activities that you'd like to do. Better time management would have been appreciated. A movie in the afternoon of each sea day would have been another option for things to do on the ship.
