This was our third trip to Bermuda and we loved every minute of it. We had a room with a veranda on the starboard side and were treated to a great view of the island and the beautiful welcoming wharf. The people of Bermuda are as friendly and welcoming as those aboard the ship. Isn't that why people love to travel to Bermuda? And it is for that same reason we love Celebrity.
The ship is lovely on it's own, small enough to be comfy yet large enough to give you a nice workout as you travel around the ship, but without the support staff it would be just any ship on the ocean. Our room attendants gave us special care by finding and hooking up 2 long electrical cords for my husband's medical equipment. The smiling wait staff always had our lemonade and the correct tea for us on the table each night. The activities staff were always fun and entertaining as we played our games in different areas of the ship. I particularly enjoyed Kym Purling's jazz performance and was amazed by the high tech magic show. The officers on the ship were always engaging and friendly.
Since we've reached elite level in the Captain's Club, we were entitled to eat breakfast in a special restaurant the cappuccino was a nice touch, as were the cocktails and hors-d'oeuvres each evening. The food, of many varieties, was delicious and plentiful. Having been to Qsine and Cafe Bistro on a previous occasion, we knew how good it was and repeated our visits there. Those restaurants are well worth the extra charge. Qsine in particular was a fun place to eat. In the past we have always done Celebrity Shore excursions, but this time we took a private minibus from Ricky's Island Tours. After our trip I left my jacket in the minibus, but Ricky returned it to the ship the following day and the staff made sure I received it. Will my husband and I go back to Bermuda on Celebrity? You can be sure we will. But the next cruise we booked onboard is to Northern Europe aboard the Celebrity Eclipse - can't wait!
