Friends had said how great the Paul Gauguin and French Polynesia is and I can say it did not disappoint. It was an amazing experience!!!

We took the 10 night cruise in late April. The staff was so friendly and the service was fantastic. The food was all amazing. This is far from a mass market cruise. The service and all inclusive atmosphere makes a huge difference. the staff knew us by name from the start and if you are friendly I think you will enjoy the people. They were there to serve even when you did not know you needed something.......No announcement constantly like on big ships and no one trying to sell you the drink of the day....It is very intimate and peaceful. Have previously sailed Celebrity (which I loved), many Princess ships, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival and nothing the same.

French Polynesia is like no other place i have traveled. I have been to many islands in the Caribbean, Hawaii and all over Thailand and Greece and nothing looks like this. Very remote and beautiful and Paul Gauguin makes it possible to see some very small motus and islands. The water is so different than other islands and the reefs provide unique scenery.

Cabin Review

Cabin Double Porthole

Our cabin was great. Lowest priced category but still pretty roomy. Great location for ship stability if you tend to be sea sick.Full size tub and great cabin steward.Worked perfect for us

Port Reviews

Huahine

Paul Gauguin Ship provided a bus to town and the beach. We spent the day swimming at the public beach next to town. The town is small. The beach was beautiful

Moorea

We went on our own to the Lagoonarium. Rented a car at Alberts, Also took a cab to Bloody Marys. Snorkeled at the Hilton and had lunch there

We stayed at Hilton Moorea prior and loved it so had a few more things we wanted to do
