We sailed on Celebrity Solstice March 22nd to the South Pacific, we are 3rd time cruisers (late 40’s early 50’s) this is our second cruise on the Beautiful Solstice having sailed almost 12 months to the day to New Zealand in 2014.

Our trip for us started a few days earlier travelling from rural Victoria to West Wyalong then on to Katoomba for a couple of days to see the beautiful Blue Mountains then on to Sydney via the train network – have to say this is a great way to travel – rather than going to Melbourne and flying. The 2 hour train trip cost us $8.80 each one way getting out at Central Station then small walk to the next platform then on a commuter train 3 stations to Circular Quay. Lots of very helpful staff at all the stations so all I can say is FANTASTIC !

We really like this ship it’s easy to get around, clean and well maintained; I thought that it actually looked in better shape than a year ago. We had the classic drinks package as part of the pick your perk deal and upgraded to the premium package basically as soon as we walked on board.

Cabin Review

Sunset Veranda

Cabin SV

Loved this cabin, roomy with plenty of storage, great balcony in the centre of the back of the ship (aft) level 6 great for sail aways and sitting out to enjoy whatever the time of day - only issue can be a little hot when the sun is shining right on you depending on location of the ship. It is a bit of a walk to the elevators but we love being at the back of the ship so that's all part of the experience.
