This was mine and my husband's first cruise. We booked in July, and we watched to see if the rates changed. The rates dropped and we called the cruise line and they honored the new rates. So my advice to anyone who is new at this, check to see if the ship is offering last minute specials. It saved us over $400. We had a deluxe balcony room. I was so pleased to save money and get the exact same room and service.

The ship was beautiful. Our room had much more space than I expected. I packed motion sickness medications and to my surprise never needed them. It was so nice to sleep with the balcony door open and hear the ocean all night. Our room was very clean and our attendant Anthony took good care of us.

The food was good. In the past we usually stay at all inclusive resorts and the food was comparable. I am not a fan of buffets; I don't enjoy the dinning experience, to rushed. But the buffet offered something for everyone. For breakfast I ordered room service and ate on our balcony or went to Reflections and had a formal menu and server. Lunch was usually off the ship to taste the local flare. Dinner we did all 7 nights in Reflections. We had great service which made dinner lots of fun. The menu always changed and if you did not like something, no problem, they would take it away and get you something else. Here is a secret not everyone seemed to know. We would get a cocktail at the Champagne bar before dinner and they had hot and cold ordure's that were delicious. We sampled chicken satay, salmon rolls, caviar and so much more. This was better than the dinner menu? If you like Baileys, try the Oat Meal Cookie drink!
