This was our first time on Celebrity and our first time to Bermuda. I am 46 and DH is 49.We had cruised RCCL in the past (7x) but wanted a small ship. We flew in to Newark and stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Newark. Free airport shuttle but NO SHUTTLE to cruise port (We knew this in advance). The front desk called a car (we thought it would be a taxi) but instead it was Victor with a Black Suburban! He charged a flat rate of $60 to the port. All went well. Embarkation at Bayonne was okay. The computers weren't working properly so our photos could not be taken. The staff was definitely making every effort to rectify this but let us board anyway and we had our picture taken on the ship. Not a huge problem but a delay of 30-45 minutes. I think this was unusual since everyone says Bayonne is a great port to board.

Once aboard, we went to lunch in Oceanview. Here's what we loved most---there were plenty of seats and tables. It was not a crowded cattle-call atmosphere. We could wander and explore the many offerings. I had fish, carrot and green bean medley, fresh fruit and a yummy baguette. For dessert I tried the homemade ice cream. Excellent. My husband tried the short ribs and loved them. I recommend walking all the way to the back -this buffet goes on and on! Then make your selections! We finally found the back of the buffet the next day!

Rooms were ready at 1:30. Some of our luggage already had made it to our room. We unpacked and then wandered around the pool deck and got acquainted with the ship. Our room steward asked if we wanted robes for use on board, Yes Please!! a lovely treat. Oh and we also had a complimentary beach bag in our room!! We had an oceanview room with free drink package.
