Our group of 4 consisted of 3 adults (ages 57-60) & my 5 year old granddaughter. I have been on at least 30 cruises with 20 of those being on Carnival.

We cruised about 6 years ago on the Pride and were pleasantly surprised by the upgrades! Previously the Pride was such a dark ship & not one of my favorites. The Alchemy Bar received an especially nice upgrade with those ugly candelabras & what my husband referred to as “small coffin-looking coffee/end tables” being removed. The new look is bright with light colors and white marble bar & table tops. Thankfully they did not add any of that sometimes crazy Carnival décor. The ship was easy to navigate not having to do the go up a level then down a level to get to the dining room.

Guy’s Burger Joint, which we enjoyed quite a few times, was nice addition, as well as Blue Iguana Cantina. We chose anytime seating & generally ate late – around 8:00 – so never a wait. Service was excellent in the dining room. On a few occasions my food was not as hot as I would have liked it but overall I enjoyed almost every dish I ordered. Flatiron steak not my favorite…the Southern Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes – delicious!! Ken, the Maitre D’, did a nightly serenade and had a great voice. One night a magician came to our table, much to the delight of my granddaughter & yes, the adults too.
