We had an amazing time on the Regatta going from Miami to San Francisco through the Panama Canal. Everything was much better than we had ever dreamed! The ship was beautiful, the food fantastic, the ports of call amazing, the staff of Oceania couldn't have been any better! There was plenty to do on board, or you could do nothing - which is pretty much what we did. I did donate $21 to the casino but I never win, so I wasn't expecting anything else! The entertainment was good! We enjoyed the magician, and the Regatta singers! The comedienne was good too!
I really can't think of but one thing that could have been different - they didn't serve biscuits and gravy or grits at any of the breakfasts! As a southern gal, that was missed!
This was our first Oceania Cruise, but it won't be our last!
I covered this earlier, it was nice - nothing really special. The ledge under the window was nice for storing my extra things, or sitting in to watch the water! Gerson was a good steward, and kept the room clean and the chocolates on our pillows at night!
Strange that I have to review even though we didn't take an excursion. We did spend the night before there, and found a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of the Crown Plaza! Catch of the Day had great food!
We had been to Key West before, so opted to just walk on our own. There was plenty of time there - so we didn't have to hurry! We were more than happy that the drinking young people (at 10 AM) weren't on our ship!
This was our disembarkation point, so we didn't tour, but again, Oceania made reservations for us at the Crown Plaza for the night. We had a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant, a good night's sleep, and a good non-stop flight back to the East Coast!
