Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Myself, my husband, my mum and step dad were on board the first cruise after the dry dock refurb cruising around the Canary islands. The day we boarded it was my mum and step dads wedding day, they married in Southampton in the morning.. so it was their honeymoon and our holiday too.

We all cruised together before last year on a 14 night Med cruise on the Adventure of the seas.. and have one cruise previous to that with Princess.

We were all given the select drinks package as part of our cruise.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Our cabin was a balcony room on deck 7 and it was lovely. It has been refitted with a new flat screen TV, new chairs, sofas, carpets, shower fittings and lovely new balcony furniture which made enjoying the outside more pleasant.

The beds were very comfortable and huge too :) there is plenty of storage space and even though the bathroom is small there is plenty of storage around the mirror.

Our stateroom attendant Rosita was amazing and she attended to our every need including ice everyday in the room. She couldn't have done more for us.

Port Reviews

Madeira (Funchal)

Loved Madeira.. such a beautiful and well presented island.

The weather was not great but no rain.

We walked from the boat to the entrance of the cable car.. about a 25 minute walk.

We took the cable car to the top of the hill and the view was amazing. Well worth a trip.

Tenerife

There was a free shuttle bus taking you to the town which takes about 5 minutes.

This could be walked in 15-20.

I was not that impressed with the town to be honest so we took a tram ride to the science museum which was quite cool.

I would like to have hired a car and explored the island but we didn't research in advance.

Vigo

Excellent well presented port and excellent for shopping.

You walk off of the boat straight into a shopping centre. There is also a huge high street just full of shops.
