Too many issues to deal with. While the cabin steward was excellent and pleasant, the cabin was small without adequate storage space. The bathroom was a decent size for a cruise ship but the room was tiny (verandah) and the steward moved the small coffee table onto the balcony so we would have more room for walking around within the room. Other than the big-time shows in the theater, there weren't a lot of other activities going on around the ship. Since Celebrity had given away so many drink cards, the bars were jammed and it was difficult to get service.

Nothing else going on around, like there is on Princess - no music, no entertainment. The other activities seemed to center around the grand atrium - a small & not so classy venue in the center of the ship. One small reggae type band and people could dance. Nothing else. Boring evenings. People on cruises do not go to sleep at 10 PM. The shops aboard ship were small and rather limited. Several upscale shops and very little else. All price drops took place the last 'at sea' night. No sense buying anything there till the end of the cruise.

Our waiter was a real pill. He had the personality of a dead herring. The food was mediocre. Why does everyone rave about Celebrity's food? Maybe in the separate fee-based restaurants it might be better, but I pay for an all-inclusive vacation and do not find it necessary to eat in a separate restaurant. It should be as good in the main dining room too. The selections were limited. And lobster night??? There was none - they served cold water crayfish, not lobster tails, and it was tasteless. Then the know-it-all waiter said "I told you not to order that!" A real disappointment. (Ended up eating steak again - yeah I know, tough right?) Just a let down.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2B

The cabin was small without adequate storage space. The bathroom was a decent size for a cruise ship but the room was tiny (verandah) and the steward moved the small coffee table onto the balcony so we would have more room for walking around within the room. No one mentioned that over the headboard were two storage cabinets. People were living out of their suitcases because they did not know. Excellent service from the cabin steward.
