This was our 4th cruise with Celebrity but our first on the Reflection and first Transatlantic Crossing. Celebrity Reflection did not disappoint, very nearly everything was perfect including the weather (hot and sunny) and the calm seas.

Embarkation was a breeze and before we knew it we were on board, sipping champagne and enjoying a delicious crepe at Bistro on 5. I had been a little concerned about the 7 days at sea before reaching our first port, but I needn't have worried. There was so much to do but also time to relax. Thanks to the Cruise Critic Roll Call we got together with some wonderful people and enjoyed playing cards, hosting a book group, rehearsing for a flashmob, meeting for pre-dinner cocktails (definitely try the molecular bar!)....the list goes on. Our week at sea went by too fast!

The Reflection is a beautiful ship - fabulous decor and spotlessly clean. The crew work so hard and are always friendly and professional. Our Concierge stateroom was lovely and well taken care of by Urban and Flavio who were wonderfully helpful. Also special mention to Cruise Director Alexander + Jaime, Oz and DJTX.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We were 2 days in Barcelona. As we had been in Barcelona before, we took a private tour (organized by Cruise Critic) to Montserrat. It was about 1 hour's drive and we really enjoyed visiting this lovely site even though it was very crowded. In the evening we went to a concert at the Palau de la Musica which was quite incredible. The 2nd day we just browsed around the Gothic Quarter. Barcelona is a beautiful city.

Miami

Arrived in Miami the night before the cruise. Stayed in the Holiday Inn across the street from Bayside Market and 5 minutes from the cruise port. We ate a lovely dinner at Bayside Market.

Malaga

We were going to take a hop-on-hop-off bus, but the Old Town was so easy to walk around that we didn't bother. Enjoyed tapas + hot chocolate and churros.

Nice

We took the train and bus the the Village of Eze. What a beautiful, scenic town high in the hills. Enjoyed walking and browsing the gardens at the very top were just lovely.

Florence (Livorno)

We shared a van with 6 other Cruise Critic members. It was transportation only to and from Florence. Once there we were free to explore independently. Florence is a beautiful city but very crowded.
