This was our first river cruise, although we have done sea cruising previously. The cruise was amazing and all the staff were both efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We went from Passau to Budapest and the travel to the embarkation port was very well organised. The cabin was comfortable and well decorated with a good bathroom. The food and service were both excellent and our waiter Peter could not do enough for us. The excursions were well-organised and very interesting and all the local guides were very well informed.
We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and would definitely do another river cruise with Viking
Comfortable and well decorated cabin. Good bathroom
Went for a drive through all the posh houses where most of the foreign diplomats live. Went to the Primatial Palace. Built in the late 18th century and the former residence Archbishop of Eztergom. On display are 16th entury tapestries discovered under wallpaper during reconstruction in the early 20th centrury. Excellent view of the parliament building and there was a hot air ballon sailing over. Had a walking tour through the town Guide Eva was very good. There is a very good statue entitled Man at Work. The old town was delightful and we sat in the sunshine and had a coffee. There was a small arts and crafts market selling unusual things and I bought a traditionally dressed corn dolly
