My husband and I spent 49 days on the Legend this past winter, and we have never had better service or seen better conditions in the fleet. (We are Diamond Plus members, so we've seen a few ships…)

The crew's attention to detail--whether in special services offered or in overall cleanliness and condition of the ship--was outstanding. Just a few examples: 1) Passengers would see the Housekeeping Manager Darrell walking the decks holding daily inspections with his crew, and the ship was so clean, there wasn't even a speck of dust on the top of the elevators. 2) The Fitness Instructor Cassie was careful to watch out for the 70-somethings in our early morning stretch and core workout classes, and still challenge the 20-somethings. She worked everyday by herself--always with a smile and with great care. 3) Our Head Waiter Mario was patient, kind and accommodating beyond belief when unnecessarily irate and unkind passengers demanded dinner seatings that were just not available. (There are only so many two-tops in the dining room.) 4) Our assistant waiter Dejon, who always responded to our special culinary requests with a broad smile and such enthusiasm, but also was kind enough to bring lemons and his country's best remedy when my husband came down with a cold. He also made a point of seeking me out daily to make sure my husband was on the mend. 5) Our stateroom attendant Putu: I still don't understand how he produced such a spotless stateroom and in such a short time. He even found time to stop and make sure my husband was well tended to while he was ill. (More fresh lemons magically appeared in our stateroom, too...) 6) Both Captains of the Legend are very approachable and interested in passengers' comments. (Please note, I said "comments" not unwarranted criticism…) 7) The entire staff of the Guest Services Desk are patient as saints, doing their best to accommodate everyone's special--and many times unreasonable--requests. How DO you manage to smile and stay so positive when you must deal with so many rude passengers? You all are amazing.

Dear fellow guests, please remember: Every member of the crew is doing their best to make your vacation the best possible. Sure, NONE of us gets everything right all of the time, and things happen… But the crew of the Legend will ALWAYS do the best they possibly can for you.
