This was our 2nd sailing with HAL having done the Greek Isle 3 years ago. That cruise was wonderful. Cannot say the same for this one. Across the board cost cutting is very evident in staffing, service, food and entertainment.

Our balcony cabin was a little small but ok--the bed and pillows very comfortable, storage good and the reading lights are a nice touch. I wish there had been a night light in the bathroom but we just kept the door open a little. Our cabin attendants were excellent.

Dining hours/service/food have suffered the most. MDR closed at 9:30am and is not open for lunch. The Lido hours are shorter too and serving areas were closed down early in some instances. There just was not enough staff to take care of everyone and the great service we had with HAL before is gone. It shows not only in the dining areas but on the pool deck bars, CrowsNest and other areas...hard to get a drink when you can't find a bartender or waiter. Room service was very good.
