Disclaimer: The only other cruise I've been on was a Disney cruise and I think it ruined me for every other cruise. I didn't expect this one to be as awesome as Disney, but I expected it to be more than it was.
Embarking was a mess for most people. Thankfully, my mother-in-law got us VIP status so we got right on the ship. I felt bad for all those other people standing in line for a long time to get onto the ship.
We had a suite and it was very nice, very spacious. The couch bed my son slept on wasn't very comfortable or very big for him. One thing I didn't like was that I couldn't hear any announcements in our room. I had to walk out into the hall if I wanted to hear what they were saying. Also, they don't have anything in the room that shows you the layout of the ship. It would have been nice to study the layout and learn where things were located from our room. The service to the room was excellent and they always kept it clean and stocked.
The room was large and nice. The service to the room was excellent. They always kept the room very clean and it was nice. The balcony was very nice to have so we could sit outside away from the crowds.
It was a cluster to get on and off the ship. Long lines and a lot of waiting. The porter who helped us check our bags in was a bit rude. Thankfully, we had VIP status so we got on more quickly than the others, but getting off was still a cluster.
Puerta Maya in Cozumel was very nice. The shops were nice and had a lot of cool things to look at and shop for. They had a line of taxis waiting and we had one take us to Paradise Beach and it was only $15 each way. I have no complaints at all about this port.
