I fell in love with the ship as soon as I stepped on it. The Disney Dream is beautiful, lively, and full of really fun things to do as a family and even without the kiddo. The food was amazing, and our server, Kurt, was amazing, got to know us and entertained us every night. I would specifically request to not be second dinner if I go again because I prefer to dine then watch a show but it wasn't a make or break it thing. In fact, nothing was, even the stormy weather couldn't get me down while we were cruising. Everything on the ship is so Disney, and I loved it all...from the horns tooting Disney tunes to the broadway-esc shows. It was perfect for the super Disney fan.

My only issues were my child's limitations because of not being 100% potty trained, we navigated around it and still had fun but I wish I had know before booking and finalizing my dates that it would be an issue, and it really was an issue. Children are not allowed to do anything unless they are 100% potty trained, no oceaneer club, no pool, no slides, nothing. This is really frustrating because not only is Disney's target audience 3-6 years olds but not all 3-6 year olds are 100% good to go without any help to the restroom. Children can not wear swim diapers in the pool or slides and can not go into the oceaneer club, though they do offer a nursery that will accept them it's for newborn to 2 year olds and also cost $9/hour. My son is 3 and a half and has accidents especially when he's excited or deep into play. He was asked to leave the slide and oceaneer club bc we tried to keep a pull-up on him since was having so much fun we worried about an accident. We ended up just taking off his pull-up and sending him into the water and oceaneer club but feared the entire time there would be an incident we were lucky but it was STRESSFUL. I only found out about this rule two-three weeks before the trip and it was too late to move it until he was ready. Disney is smarter than this they should alert, AT THE TIME OF BOOKING, all parents of children under 5 that their children should be fully trained before boarding the ship well in advance that way plans can be changed if need be.

My son LOVED the oceaneer club he kept asking to go back, which made us feel good (and worried us, see above).

Cabin Review

Cabin 9B

Our cabin was so roomy, for two adults and 1 3.5 year old. We didn't even need the bed in the sofa because we all fit in the bed! Our son loved the large port hole and used it as entertainment throughout the entire trip!

Port Reviews

Castaway Cay

It rained and stormed almost all day. the few hours it wasn't gloomy we hit the slides and beach, I expected the water park to be more of a full water park and it was just 2 slides. The beach was crowded even with the rain but the worst part was that the water was too dangerous to snorkel in but I didn't figure that out until after I was out there and needed life guards to help me back to shore. I wish they had warned people not to snorkel in that weather, I wasn't the only one, some people were fine but I had a child with me and that was seriously dangerous.
