This was our eighth trip on Carnival. We have never had any complaints, however, this trip was very dissapointing. The Conquest needs a good scrubbing in all public areas. Our room was hot most of time and also many of the public areas. The smokers took over the deck on the tenth floor and made it impossible for nonsmoker's to enjoy the good weather under the shade. The food at the Lido was mediocre at best. If you went on a tour and came back to the ship and wanted to eat something it was either hot dogs, pizza or sandwiches.

The shows were mediocre, no house band just bottled music. Too many computer generated effects. The music in the plaza was horrible. The only music we highly enjoyed was the Latin trio and the piano bar.

However, we were pleased by the people who worked on the ship. Our cabin steward was very accommodating, he got me a fan so I wouldn't sweat. My mother was in a handicap room and her steward, Hilda, was attentive to her needs. The hostesses, waiters and assistant waiters at the anytime dining room, Renoir, were pleasant, accommodating and efficient.
