I was getting nervous with all the negative reviews and well known SNAFUs of dining reservations on Quantum. But, I must say, we had a blast. First, to preface, we are first timers so we don't have cruises to compare the ship to, but we know fine dining, good hotels and we know what a correct service experience should be. We also are a couple, no kids to entertain.
We did not experience ANY rude staff or kids running around unsupervised. We had one odd service experience at The Grande restaurant which I attribute to poor training since the young woman was trying had but just didn't get it. The rest of our staff experience was great. Friendly, funny, helpful, prompt, courteous, no issues.
The food was good, not great mostly. Dining room service can be rushed if you don't tell them you don't have show reservation, take their time. Bar staff is very good.
Comfortable, plenty of storage, clean, nive view but not too high up on Deck 8.
Good luggage service and fast embarkation/debarkation but a huge traffic jam once on the port property to drop off luggage. There could be better traffic control.
We met family and are slightly familiar with the area. Getting off/on board was easy. We were treated to a launch from Cape Canaveral to the West of the port.
The port is very crowded but can be fun. shopping is good. Take the on board port shopping seminar before going, my wife thought it was helpful. Jerk Chicken for lunch!
