This was my 3rd cruise with NCL. I particularly like this ship the "Spirit". It is the oldest ship but was built back before the mega ships were built like today. Though the larger ships have more activities like speed line and larger pools, I am an older person and don't consider those things important.

I look for comfort, which describes the "Spirit". It has plenty of space onboard and in your cabin so you don't feel cramped. The Spirit's staff are very knowledgeable about the ship so any crew member can assist you with any issue or question/concerns you may have.

The cruise director is very visible and active, you see her not just during the evening events but during the day activities and participation in most activities. When you don't see her around the ship she will be on the loud speaker making announcements.

A lot of room. Kept very clean and neat. Always had a towel animal to greet me in the evening. And most important it was very quiet so was easy to fall asleep at night.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

I travelled alone and didn't take an excursion. I wish I had and would have been able to see more and learn more about the city. It still is a beautiful city. After you take the "free shuttle" to the city, make sure you know where it picks up. Otherwise the port is too far to walk and can easily get lost. Or just take the excursion then there is no worries.
