I would ideally like to give this cruise 4.5 but I am not allowed. It was almost a perfect holiday and the value for money aspect will be hard to beat.
I would like to say this is my first time cruising but I am a very experienced traveller and I was surprised at how well organised RC were and how well we were looked after. After reading lots of reviews on here I was anxious about lots of aspects that I needn't have to be. Embarkation took around an hour but as you never stood still it felt much shorter as you went from point to point. It was a nice surprise to find that our stateroom was ready upon boarding and it was a decent size which was another non issue. Within minutes of our boarding we had started our holiday, it was all good from there.
I was thoroughly impressed at the size and scale of the ship and its choice of venues. I knew it had just had a refit but for a 16 year old ship I was blown away and just wonder what the newer ships are like.
We had a promenade room, it was nice to have a window but close to pointless. As it has been mentioned before you look directly into the room across the promenade and as we were mainly in the room to change or for sleeping I didn't want to be undressed in front of other passengers.
Other than that I have no complaints the room was more than adequate size wise and the bathroom was good too.
