We were on the Viking longship Gefjon inaugural cruise and could not have been more pleased with the itinerary and level of service that we enjoyed. We have cruised ocean going vessels before but as this was our first river cruise we were pleased with the more intimate experience. Docking in small towns and never being very far away from the action has its advantages. The crew members were all exceptional and eager to make our experience a memorable one. The Rhine Rhapsody cruise is a new addition for Viking and and featured the Moselle and Rhine rivers. The two rivers could not be more different with the Moselle narrower and bucolic while the Rhine had much more commercial traffic and faster moving.

I would definitely recommend this cruise as well as Viking cruise lines for a river cruise. I had read some negative reviews from previous Viking travelers, but we experienced none of those
