Sail Date: Apr 2015

After taking three Viking River cruises with my sister, I went out on a limb and surprised my husband with a trip on Viking Ocean Star's maiden voyage for our 30th wedding anniversary. Looks like we will be celebrating another 30! :)

We began our trip in Istanbul and sailed to Venice, with several stops along the way. Traditional Viking excursion methods were tried, reviewed, changed, and tried again until things were flowing smoothly. Customer feedback was encouraged, considered and new traffic flow was put into practice.

Comfort and style surround you all over the ship. So far, too many artist's renderings are all that are available, which is a shame. Those drawings show only a format. The care and attention to decorative pieces, books, a mini-museum, public spaces, dining spaces, now a true living space, enjoyed by many, is award winning. I wish I were eloquent enough to tell you more. I've posted a few photo's on their Facebook page.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse Veranda

The beds are sooo comfortable, I would steal on if I had a bigger jacket. Heated bathroom floors? Who knew I always needed that! Ton's of drawers, great TV, shower, towels, robes and slippers. Love!
