Travelled on this ship when it was fresh out of dock after an overhaul. So don't worry about the worn carpets that are mentioned in another review because most of them have been replaced.
Food and service were great, with special thanks to Phillipe and Adriana, the Restaurant Managers in the Santa Fe and International Dining Rooms who made us most welcome every day. Only problem was with the dining rooms themselves (especially the Santa Fe) which are INCREDIBLY NOISY! Believe me we had to shout across the table to hear each other which, of course, makes things even worse. Could something not be done to dampen down some of the noise in these rooms?
The food in the Horizon Buffet is excellent but the buffet itself is far too small for the numbers of passengers and horrible to use. Imagine trying to eat a beautiful banquet on a crowded rush hour subway with nowhere to sit and people shoving you all the time and you will get the picture.
This is a standard type of cabin that will be familiar to anyone who has travelled on these ships.
My main complaint was the poor selection of toiletries. No bath gel and the shower gel and shampoo were both in rigid bottles clamped to the wall. More like a cheap motel than a luxury cruise liner.
