We had an amazing time on IOS Eastern Caribbean cruise. It exceeded all our expectations and we were so impressed with the ship. 2 families travelling together and we could not have asked for more. We were amazed at the food and service and helps if you make an effort with the staff. Boarding took 2 hours with computer problems but all was good. St Maarten we hired a car and toured the island. St Kitts we did catamaran tour. Puerto Rico we walked around town. I felt Labadee was too busy with 2 ships in port but was a lovely location and bbq on the beach. Our cabin 6298 was on deck 6 and was a great location on the ship. Having a balcony was great but not sure if I would bother next time. We enjoyed all the shows and thought they were great quality and value. First time cruisers and we thought it was fantastic. The 3 kids 7,10,10 loved it and were never bored. We did my time dining and that worked well. We didn't bother with the drinks package and that worked out well. We took on 2 bottles of wine per cabin and they were happy to open it at dinner no charge. The kids didn't use kids club much but it didn't matter. We all agreed it was great value for $ and are already talking about another cruise to a different location.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Cabin was bigger than I expected. Enough storage and room under the KS bed for cases.

Port Reviews

Labadee

On arrival at Labadee it looked lovely. Beach got very crowded early after the arrival of another ship. BBQ lunch was basic Enjoyed the stroll around the market stalls and the music on the beach by the locals.

St. Maarten

We hired car and drove around the Island stopping at Maho beach (with the planes) Marigot for shops and Orient Beach for swimming and jetskis, massages and hair braiding on the beach for the girls.

San Juan

We loved our walk around the town. Spent 2 hrs at old fort when it opened. Very colourful town with lots of shopping. Would have loved to stay longer.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

boarding only -took 2 hours and we only found out later that it was due to computer errors. Arrived on ship too late for lunch, got pizza slices very late in afternoon.
