First off, we really enjoyed the size and amenities of the Suite on the 13th floor. The balcony was huge, by all respects, and I'll touch on that more in a moment. I've sailed Hawaii many times, lived on Maui for over twenty years, and have been on quite a few boats. Now, I've not been on the super luxury lines and would consider Carnival acceptable, Princess Nice and Holland a slight uptick from Princess: so you know how I rank things. I'd put this ship on the level of Princess--with Princess food being marginally better.

But, back to the Suite--while researching these newer suites online, I didn't find a ton of information. I did find a few, but not many. Our cabin, 13504, was about the size of a decent hotel room (largest we've had on a ship). It was furnished with a sofa, desk/table, dining table, premium king size, pillow top mattress, adequate closet space and very large, and luxurious bathroom. It's not often you see twin sinks, a separate tub/shower, and luxurious amenities like robes, etc. Here are the things I tried to discover before sailing and I'll list them for you now:

* Size: very good size (although, I heard the lower floors had bigger "insides" and smaller balconies.
