Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We had a nice time on a 5-day western Caribbean cruise. Embarkation and debarkation at Tampa went efficiently. Our room steward was pleasant and accommodating, making towel animals during 2 of our turn down services. We enjoyed cabin 9756 and the the larger balcony, which is first on the bump out area. The twin beds/ bed were towards the balcony. There was a sitting area towards the centrum that we used to gather/meet frequently.

Our D2 Balcony cabin was sufficient with plenty of storage space, and a hairdryer included. I didn't have trouble with the shower curtain or water on the floor, and took advantage of the shower handle to rinse off.

As a large group with several neighboring cabins, we had 3 neighboring tables, and were allowed to change tables each evening so we could mix and mingle with our friends. The serving staff were very accommodating. The main dining room food was typical, but allowed for eating in moderation due to portion sizes. We also were allowed to bring our own wine to the dining room, with no corkage fee applied. We enjoyed breakfast each day, and lunch on sea days being served there.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

This cabin had a larger balcony and a view towards the end of the ship as well as the side. If you are over-concerned with privacy, it may not be for you, but we loved it.

The cabin is relatively close to the elevators and stairs. The pools and Windjammer are up 2 flights. There was never a long wait for an elevator.

There was plenty of storage/closet space. Our two twin beds were near the balcony, and there was a couch and small table. There was a desk area. A hairdryer is available. There are 2 outlets, and we used a surge protector cord for charging things. My sister had plenty of space for her CPAP on one of the end tables.

Port Reviews

Tampa

We stayed at St. Pete's Beach for a few days which was a 1/2 hour drive from the airport. We loved the area, the beach, and the restaurants. We returned the car, and the ride to port is about 15 minutes.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

The tenders moved along well once the crowds were off the ship. We shopped in the various jewelry stores, not buying a lot but enjoying the view, and the walk.

Cozumel

We enjoyed walking off the ship, went down to "Carnival Land" and enjoyed a fish pedicure ($30 each, or 2/$15). My feet never felt smoother. The marguaritas were mighty fine.
