This was our anniversary adventure and it truly was. Everything was spectacular from going through the boarding process (so easy and smooth) to waiting as long or as short a time as we wanted when leaving the ship. Of course we didn't really want to leave at all and had to be gently nudged along our way. We had a Jr. Suite this time because of the special occasion and really appreciated the extra room and amenities when we had our friends over. I really liked the crew atmosphere of the ship. The Captain said he likes to treat the ship as home with the crew as a big family and that concept really shines through. Everyone really cared that each and every passenger was treated courteously and with a big smile. There were a couple of stand outs, namely the signing greeter in the Windjammer and the twirling coffee tray handler extrodinaire, who we saw several places around the ship. I think this itinerary has more stops for a 7 night cruise than any other. Five ports of call in 7 nights and all very good.

We didn't get to see as much of the entertainment as we usually do because we met the most wonderful couple on the first day and spent a lot of fabulous time with them. The food was first rate in the main dinning room. We chose My Time Dining so ate just as we pleased...with our new friends. The dining staff was unbelievable and the antics they got up to were just hilarious. One of the high points of our cruise was the tour behind the scenes of the ship, from the Captain's chair at the very top to the incinerator room in the very bottom. Well worth seeing. You can't help but have a wonderful time on the Jewel of the Sea. I guarantee it!

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Our cabin was an un-obstructive view balcony Jr. Suite on the 10th deck, The bed was large and comfortable with the most wonderful sheets. Soft and cool. There was a tremendous amount of storage space and an abundance of closet room with plenty of hangers. There was a pull out sofa (which we did not use as such) and a nice sized side chair placed by the slider to the balcony. There were a good number of plugs but it never hurts to bring something from home. A coffee pot with cups/sugar/dry creamer as well as a small refrigerator/cooler were there. The bathroom was much bigger than what we have had in a regular balcony cabin with a tub/shower and plenty of hot water. Lots of counter space and good lighting. Such a wonderful change from the usual closet.
