Let me start by saying- don't believe the negative reviews you read on here. We just cruised on Oasis 4/17/15-4/25/15 and it was the most perfect memorable amazing vacation we have ever taken! We have a family of 4- both my husband and I ages 40 and 43, and our 2 children a boy age 15 and a girl age 13.

We hadn't cruised in 8 years- the kids were 4 and 6 back then. I wasn't completely sold on the idea of cruising as years ago the boats were a bit smaller and I thought there was less to do. I wanted to take a vacation with my husband and teenagers where the kids would be entertained- so much so that my husband and I could get some alone time on the ship together. It worked out perfectly- even better than I had ever hoped.

We stated at the Marriot Courtyard Airport and Cruiseport in Fort Lauderdale. I chose this hotel because there were complimentary transfers to the hotel from the airport and to the Cruiseport from the hotel- when you have 4 people this saves a lot of money! Hotel was comfortable clean and modern. We stayed one night Friday into Saturday. We were very happy. They have a small cafe type area to have breakfast in the morning.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Large Balcony

Cabin D1

We had room #9324. Deck 9 was perfect! Very high up to have perfect views! We were more towards the back of the boat- I'd wanted more middle but was told the next best thing was back of the ship (aft) to have less rocking. And 100% correct! My husband and son who've had seasickness in the past were perfect on this ship- they both felt great and needed no meds. Room waste get than I expected and the balcony was much larger than I expected. There was a pull out open up sofa that was roomy for two adults. The room steward would open this every evening and close it every morning. The bathroom was fine- just humid after a shower. But I loved the glass doors on the shower! Room was very nice. No complaints here. I will say the only way to cruise is with a balcony! It makes so much more room!!
