Before I start my review please note that if you are over 65 then this review is not geared towards you.

This was a sort of last minute "sisters" cruise with me & my 2 sisters (our average age is 40) From the moment we boarded we took notice that the median age of the other travelers was about 70. the FEW activities that were offered on the ship during "at sea" days were "vitality" workshops for that age group. There is only one nightclub on the ship and he played the same mix of music all 5 nights. pretty much ALL the bars are closed by 8:00p.m. (except main lobby, casino & Schnooners) I have never been on a cruise and they close the bars that early. There really wasn't an option for late night snacks other than going back to your cabin and calling room service. I didn't really enjoy the "shows" in the theater. The movie theater pretty much rotated the same 3 movies for the entire cruise. The onboard crew were not very friendly and barely spoke or even smiled. Our cabin was roomy enough and our cabin attendant was great (he was maybe one of the best interactions we had). We checked out the Karaoke 3 nights in a row and each time the same 3 senior citizens were singing the same songs every night, we tried to look though the Karaoke book to participate but the songs were so OLD and slow-tempo'd that we finally gave up.

We dined in the main dining hall twice (Minstrel) The food was just ok and the service was very slow and the tables are so crammed in that it's hard to actually be comfortable. We ate breakfast & lunch most days in the Windjammer and most of the time the foods that should have been hot (or at least warm) were cold (i.e. eggs & pasta and/or rice dishes). Key West was a nice port of call and we pretty much just walked around town. We pre-booked a private beach for Cozumel and had a nice time snorkeling & Jet skiing. For us it was just a very BORING cruise this was my first cruise on a Royal Caribbean Ship but I'm pretty sure I won't be sailing with them again.

Port Reviews

Key West

Key West was a nice tourist town, we did visit quite a few shops and walked the streets taking in some of the history of the island. We also stopped at a few bars and met some very nice locals

Cozumel

We pre-booked a private beach prior to the cruise. So once we were off the boat we just jumped in a cab and directed the driver where we wanted to go. The beach was nice and some of our included activities included snorkeling and jet skiing , it also included all drinks and a 4 course lunch.

Tampa

We arrived at the Port of Tampa from Tampa Airport. The cab ride took us about 20 minutes. Once we got to the port a crew member greeted us, tagged our bags and directed us on where to go for check-in. Everyone at the port were very helpful and nice.
