We very much looked forward to this cruise and it lived up to our hopes and then took flight!

My spouse and I have never taken such a long cruise, and very much looked forward to the 7 days at sea. And 4 of the 6 ports were new for us. We were blessed to travel with two friends that were by nature curious and very smart (ok me and three Librarians from NC, all in 50-65 range) and then the frosting came when we found out 4 weeks out that John Heald (Brand Ambassador for Carnival) would be aboard.

Planning- My only planning issue was the Cruise Critic Roll Call. Granted it started over 1 year out and it was a huge list (so big it had to be split 3 months out). I do wish there was some way to limit posts to those about the cruise or ports involved. Often there were pages of entries that never mentioned the cruise.
