After 8 cruises, our first cruise with the Norwegian Cruise Line was on the Jewel out of Houston on April 11. Where do I begin? The first thing we noticed was how happy and friendly the employees were. One mid afternoon we were in the Garden Buffet grabbing a bite when we noticed an officer and a fairly large group of workers came out with a cake and sang Happy Birthday to a gentleman working in Buffet area. I have never seen this on any other cruise ship I've been on. Everywhere we went, there were officers mingling and talking with cruisers. Very nice feeling. They were even helping clear the tables in the Buffet, and still pleasantly chatting with their workers and people eating in the area. I also loved the gentlemen singing a greeting to us as we entered the buffet. Next, the food! OMG, it was delicious! Especially the pastries. We also had an awesome experience in the SPA. Everyone was wonderful! We had the Breakfast with Diamonds excursion in Cozumel with a lot of help from the beautiful shopping guide. She was very helpful. The only minor complaint was the size of the cabin, but the bed was very comfortable.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Porthole Window

Very comfortable bed. Liked the bathroom setup. Very efficiently designed. Not quite as wide as other cruise ships we've been on.
