I was on the April 5th 2015 Quantum sailing. One of the last before Quantum leaves for China. Overall it was a very good trip. There were some hiccups, and service was ok. Probably mostly cause they were in the middle of training all the new crew members that are taking over once the ship gets to the Far East. It was also crowded with a lot of kids, but that's because several states give the week after Easter off to their students, so places like the Seaplex, Non solarium pools and other places kids would congregate were crowded.

All in all Quantum is a good family ship... Or was but now that's it's going to China where the focus is gambling, smoking, and spirits, I feel it's going to be less family friendly.

I can the Quantum class being for the young, modern cruiser who likes / needs to stay in touch. And for lack of a better word, prefers to be anti-social. With the dynamic dinning.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony

Cabin M

Yes the cabin is a little small compared to other rooms I've stayed in. But considering the location it was surprisingly quiet. This is one of the rooms that are "underneath" the main stair cases. One might think that between the stairs and the elevators there would be a lot of noise, but I did not hear much from beyond the walls. Also 233 and 633 are in their own little side hallway, so you are off the main hallway running the length of the ship. So you don't hear other people wandering the halls, kids running up and down the halls, and other doors closing. Another handy thing, I got turned around in the ship several times, but it was easy to find where the room was cause the room listing were rooms X through Y and 633. So if you saw that room 633 you knew you were on the right side and heading the right way.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

It was a little confusing getting started. They should post a sign or something saying talk to one of our members, with an iPad, to get your cruise started. Once we figured out talk to one of these people, then go through security, then flew right into line and onto the ship.

Nassau

It's Nassau it's crowded, we get there late so the only thing to do is go over to Atlantis, no thanks. Stayed on the ship after walking with wife to one store for freebie.
